SMS Opt-In Evidence
Purpose of this page. This page documents, for carrier and Campaign Registry review, exactly how a guest opts in to receive marketing text messages from a restaurant that uses INFI. The opt-in screen itself sits behind SMS verification of the guest's own mobile number, so it cannot be reached by an outside reviewer without a verified US phone. The screenshot below is that live screen, captured from production.
Where opt-in happens. Online ordering, at the restaurant's own ordering site — for example https://online.order.infi.us/?g=uniuni (Uni Uni). The guest reaches it by starting an order and creating an account.
The steps, in order:
- The guest enters their mobile number. Beneath the field: "By continuing, you agree to our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and the Loyalty Program Policy." — this covers use of the service, not marketing messages.
- INFI sends a one-time verification code to that number and the guest enters it. This step confirms the number belongs to the guest.
- The guest lands on Create your account — the screen shown below. Name, email and birthday are collected, followed by the Stay connected section containing two checkboxes, Text me and Email me. Both are unchecked by default. Marketing texts are sent only if the guest actively ticks Text me.
The disclosure shown at the point of consent, verbatim:
By checking Text me you agree to receive recurring marketing texts from this restaurant at the number above, up to 4 msgs/month. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See infi.us/sms-terms and infi.us/privacy-policy.
Both links are live on that screen and open the pages named. Neither is behind a login.
Scope of consent. Consent is given to one restaurant location and is never shared between locations, between restaurants, or with INFI for its own marketing. A guest who opts in at one restaurant is not opted in at any other. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and no purchased or third-party lists are ever used.
Opting out. Replying STOP to any message stops further marketing texts from that sender; STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END and QUIT are also honoured. Replying HELP, or emailing support@infi.us, reaches support. Full programme terms are in the Text Messaging Terms.
